wolf rant

I cried....

"The three little pigs". What was the point of the story other than "don't be lazy"? Why did the antagonist have to be a wolf? Why not human?

Many cultures have legends about various animals. Mostly, antagonists in those stories are either ravens, foxes, wolves, bears, etc. Ravens are associated with bad luck, as well as black cats.

Wolves are hunted for sport now, not just protection of their home. Other animals too.

In the past, people with wolf dogs or wolves suffered- rabies shots hadn't been approved for wolf/coyote/dog hybrids. When someone was bit by a canid other than a domesticated dog, officials took the canine in and euthanized him/her for a rabies check. (Euthanize is to kill as painlessly as possible.)Scientists cut the canine's head off and studied it. EVEN IF THE ANIMAL WAS ONLY A SAID WOLF/HYBRID, WITH NO PROOF. Dog mixes have suffered, because the owner/previous owner thought it was "cool" to say that their pet was a wolf dog/wolf.

On the February of 1999, USDA approved rabies vaccination for wolves and wolf dog crosses. An amendment was made to Title 9 Code of Federal regulations which declared that "all vaccines are approved for any member of the species Canis Lupus." (Wolf Dog Coalition)
